Register to Vote

A person is eligible to register to vote if they meet the following requirements:

  1. U.S. citizen;
  2. Resided in same DuPage location for 30 days prior to the election;
  3. 18 years old on or before November 8, 2022. 17-year-old can vote in the primary as long as they are 18 by the general election;
  4. Cannot claim right to vote anywhere else; and
  5. Must not be convicted and in jail.

When Can I Register to Vote?

Voter registration can be done at any point throughout the year, but a person generally must register at least 28 days before an election if they wish to vote in that election. However, "grace period" registration and voting may be available within 27 days before an election, and online voter registration is available until 15 days prior to an election.
